Calibration for the duty
Short routes, repeated pull-aways and changing loads inform the assessment. The vehicle and its task set the direction.
Optimisation should suit your work. We therefore combine individual calibration with a trial in real operation.

We visit our customers. Timing and prerequisites are coordinated so you can plan the work into your operation.
You can gain your own experience before deciding about the whole fleet. An agreed pilot provides a basis for further steps.
A consumption figure does not describe the entire working day. Driver feedback, power delivery and work output also matter.
Use your actual consumption data, mileage and diesel price. The calculator explores scenarios, while the pilot provides operational observations.
After the pilot, you decide about further implementation. Different models and duty profiles are assessed individually.
Your own operation is the practical starting point for a first assessment. Together we select suitable pilot trucks and agree the on-site visit and scope of optimisation. The vehicles then carry out their real duties, creating a basis for decisions drawn from your working day.
Waste collection, municipal depots and public services: we assess the actual fuel, short routes, repeated pull-aways and working operations together. Enter the price and measured consumption of the fuel you use. A pilot compares the same fuel under comparable duties; a fuel switch is assessed separately.
HVO100: litres and costs use your inputs. No generic CO₂ factor is applied to HVO. A carbon assessment requires product-specific supplier data and a clearly defined system boundary. Check vehicle approval beforehand.
Explore municipal fleetsEvery litre of diesel actually avoided for comparable work also reduces direct CO₂ emissions. That links economic value with a tangible reduction in fuel use.
The volume of diesel saved is the starting point. In the pilot we compare consumption with work performed; in the calculator you choose the assumed reduction.
The example calculation uses approximately 2.65 kg of direct CO₂ per litre of diesel. Avoiding 1,000 litres therefore corresponds to around 2.65 tonnes less direct CO₂ in this model.
Modest changes per vehicle can add up across trucks and working days. Annual results in the calculator help put the possible scale in context.
CO₂ figures estimate direct combustion using a rounded modelling factor. Fuel composition and blending affect the actual value. Upstream emissions, other greenhouse gases and vehicle manufacturing are excluded. Lower fuel use does not prove reductions in NOx or particulates and does not make a truck climate-neutral.
Calculate fuel and CO₂Fuel is part of the duty profile. The exact product, approval for the specific truck and consumption data from your operation all matter.
Diesel meeting EN 590 is conventional diesel fuel. The B7 label indicates up to 7% FAME biodiesel by volume. It does not describe the total renewable content: paraffinic components may also be included in fuel that meets the standard.
HVO stands for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil: oils and fats treated with hydrogen. Depending on the product, feedstocks may include waste and residues. HVO is a paraffinic fuel, chemically different from FAME biodiesel. HVO100 denotes an unblended HVO product; for blends, the actual product composition matters.
EN 15940 covers paraffinic diesel fuels, identified by XTL at the pump. XTL alone does not prove a renewable origin. Check the product data sheet, manufacturer approval for the vehicle and engine, and your fleet requirements. A suitable fuel standard does not replace vehicle approval.
Burning HVO also produces CO₂. A potential climate benefit over fossil diesel is assessed across the lifecycle and depends on feedstocks, production and the supply chain. We therefore do not state a generic HVO saving. Reliable claims require product-specific evidence and matching assessment boundaries.
Select diesel or HVO100 and enter your actual purchase price per litre and measured consumption. For mixed fleets, calculate each fuel group separately. The calculator models reduced consumption of the selected fuel, not a switch from diesel to HVO.
Compare similar routes, loads and tasks using the same fuel grade. Record litres, kilometres, operating hours and work performed. A simultaneous fuel change and engine calibration must be assessed separately so results can be attributed.
Suitability and any potential optimisation are assessed beforehand. Compatibility or reduced consumption is not guaranteed for any particular vehicle.
